Safe-Tee Management offers the following safety training courses:



St. John Ambulance First Aid courses are nationally standardized programs. First aid training will provide your employees with the knowledge to provide emergency help to an injured or suddenly ill person using readily available materials.  They will be trained in all aspects of the nationally standardized St. Johns program. We also offer Standard Re-certification First Aid training. Provincial Legislation dictates the standards of first aid training and St. John’s First Aid courses meet those requirements.

Emergency First Aid

This 1-day program includes both practical exercises and classroom learning:

  • Emergency Scene Management
  • Shock, Unconsciousness, Choking, Severe Bleeding
  • CPR and Artificial Respiration for an adult casualty (Level A CPR)

Standard First Aid

This 18 hour or 2-day program includes all of the content of the Emergency First Aid plus:

  • Eye Injuries, Burns, Head and Spinal Injuries, Fractures to Limbs
  • Abdominal injuries, rescue techniques
  • First Aid for medical illnesses

The Heart and Stroke Foundation prescribes the levels of CPR:

  • CPR Level A-One person Adult
  • CPR Level B-Adult, 2 Person and Child
  • CPR Level C-Adult, 2 person, Child & Infant

This 8-hour course, governed by Enform has become the industry standard for training workers in the hazards and control of Hydrogen Sulphide.

This program includes:

  • H2S Properties and Initial Response Strategy
  • Respiratory Protective Equipment and the Detection of H2S
  • Rescue Techniques and Rescue Breathing,
  • Review, Case Studies and Examination.

This half-day course is designed for personnel working with or near flammable or toxic substances. The course includes an introduction to flammable and toxic substances, principles of flammable gas / vapour detection, care and preparation of combustible gas monitors, interpreting combustible gas readings and control methods.

A variety of instructional techniques are used, including lectures, demonstrations, class discussion, group exercises and hands-on practice. Upon successful completion of the prescribed practical skills and written examination, students receive a certificate of completion.

The TDG program prepares workers to work within the rules and regulations of the Transportation of Dangerous Good Act and Regulations and to meet the training requirements as set out in the Act.

The program includes:

  • Introduction and Responsibilities
  • Classification of Dangerous Goods
  • Labels, Placards and Safety Marks
  • Documentation / Permits
  • Container Requirements
  • Emergency Response Plans
  • Interpreting the Schedules
  • Accidental/Imminent Release

Transportation of dangerous goods (TDG) Oil Field Specific

The oilfield specific TDG also reviews the requirements, regulated exemptions and permits specific to the oil and gas industry. An examination follows the course material. Employers will be given the participants test score to determine competency to issue the certificates provided.

This 4-hour program teaches participants about their WHMIS responsibilities under Federal and

Provincial regulations. Participants will also learn about the hazards associated with the chemical products in their place of work, and how they are to be used safely.

The Confined Space Entry training program is an 8-hour program designed to train supervisors and workers on the requirements for a safe confined-space entry. The program contains theoretical discussions on the preplanning and preparation of a confined-space entry with emphasis on the Occupational Health and Safety regulations.

  • Identification and Designation of a Confined Space
  • Non-Hazardous and Hazardous Confined Spaces
  • Duties of the Employer, Supervisor, Worker and Rescue Personnel
  • Communications
  • Hazard Assessment
  • Exposure Limits

Basics of Fire Extinguisher & Fire Fighting

This 4-hour course introduces the participants to the nature of fire, firefighting techniques and fire extinguisher inspection and maintenance procedures. The student will also participate in a hands on demonstration in the use of a fire extinguisher.

  • Approaching and Controlling a Fire
  • Extinguishing a Fire
  • Correct Use of Hand-Held Fire Extinguishers
  • Effective Communications during Firefighting
  • Inspection and Maintenance of Fire Extinguishers

During the field portion of the course the students quickly learn how effective a fire extinguisher can be (if used properly) in the early stages of a fire.
